Combine 1 cup quinoa with 1¾ cups water or broth in a saucepan. Add a pinch of salt.
Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to a low simmer.
Cover and cook for 13–15 minutes until all the liquid is absorbed.
Remove from heat, let rest covered for 5 minutes, then fluff with a fork.
