- How does FamilyPlate build a meal plan for my family?
- You set your family size, dietary needs, and favourite cuisines, then vote on six sample dishes during onboarding. FamilyPlate's AI uses those votes to generate a 7-day meal plan, and keeps improving it each week based on what your family swaps or votes on.
- Can it handle allergies and special diets?
- Yes. FamilyPlate supports Halal, Kosher, Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Nut-Free, Pescatarian, and more. You select your dietary needs during onboarding and FamilyPlate uses your selected dietary restrictions when creating meal plans.
- Is the 7-day meal plan really free?
- Yes. The first 7-day plan is generated for free with no credit card required. The Free tier lets you plan one week at a time with two meal swaps per day and per-meal nutrition information. Premium unlocks unlimited swaps, planning up to four weeks ahead, and weekly nutrition breakdowns.
- Does FamilyPlate create a shopping list?
- Yes. FamilyPlate automatically generates a shopping list from your weekly meal plan. The shopping list updates when you swap meals.
- How does family voting work?
- During onboarding you vote on six sample dishes so the AI learns your family's taste profile. Each week you can vote on individual meals — thumbs up keeps them, thumbs down swaps them for something better. The plan improves over time as the AI learns what your family actually enjoys.
