Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced
  • 1/2 cup onion, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

In a bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let it marinate for 10 minutes.

  2. 2

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

  3. 3

Add the marinated beef to the skillet and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef and set aside.

  4. 4

In the same skillet, add the garlic, ginger, and onion. Stir-fry for 2 minutes until fragrant.

  5. 5

Add the sliced bell peppers to the skillet and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until they are tender-crisp.

  6. 6

Return the beef to the skillet, mix well, and stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.

  7. 7

Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.

  8. 8

Serve hot over cooked rice if desired.
