Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups cooked white rice (for serving)

Instructions

  1. 1

In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and beef broth until smooth. Set aside.

  2. 2

Season the sliced flank steak with salt and pepper.

  3. 3

In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, stir-frying until fragrant (about 30 seconds).

  4. 4

Add the sliced beef to the skillet, cooking until browned and just cooked through (about 3-5 minutes). Remove the beef and set aside.

  5. 5

In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets, stirring for about 2-3 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.

  6. 6

Return the beef to the skillet with the cooked broccoli. Pour in the sauce mixture and stir well until everything is coated and the sauce thickens (about 2-3 minutes).

  7. 7

Drizzle sesame oil over the stir-fry before serving.

  8. 8

Serve the beef and broccoli over cooked white rice.
