Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp cornstarch (optional for thickening)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles (for serving)

Instructions

  1. 1

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

Add the sliced beef to the pan and season with salt and pepper. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.

  3. 3

In the same pan, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, stir for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

  4. 4

Add broccoli florets and sliced bell pepper to the pan. Stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are bright and tender-crisp.

  5. 5

Return the cooked beef to the pan with the vegetables. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Stir to combine and heat through for about 2-3 minutes.

  6. 6

If desired, mix cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water and add to the pan to thicken the sauce, stirring constantly until it thickens.

  7. 7

Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles, garnishing with sesame seeds or additional green onions if desired.
