Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
  • Green onions, chopped for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

In a bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for about 10 minutes.

  2. 2

Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil. Add the sliced onions, bell peppers, and broccoli. Stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.

  4. 4

Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet, stir-frying for another minute until fragrant.

  5. 5

Return the cooked beef to the skillet, tossing everything together to combine. Stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes, adjusting seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.

  6. 6

Serve the beef stir-fry over cooked rice. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired. Enjoy your meal!
