Ingredients

  • 500g chicken breast, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 skewers (soaked in water if wooden)
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 medium cucumber, grated and drained
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped (or 1 tsp dried)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. 1

In a bowl, combine the olive oil, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.

  2. 2

Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

While the chicken marinates, prepare the tzatziki by mixing the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, dill, and lemon juice in a bowl. Season with salt and stir well. Refrigerate until serving.

  4. 4

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

  5. 5

Thread the marinated chicken onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.

  6. 6

Once the grill is hot, place the kebabs on the grill and cook for about 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.

  7. 7

Remove the kebabs from the grill and allow them to rest for a few minutes.

  8. 8

Serve the chicken kebabs warm with the tzatziki sauce on the side.
