Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (such as Frank's RedHot)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet.

  2. 2

In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper until evenly coated.

  3. 3

Arrange the seasoned wings on the wire rack in a single layer, making sure they are not touching each other.

  4. 4

Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until the wings are crispy and golden brown.

  5. 5

While the wings are baking, prepare the sauce. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the hot sauce, honey, and apple cider vinegar, mixing well. Bring to a simmer and then remove from heat.

  6. 6

Once the wings are done, transfer them to a large bowl and pour the sauce over the top. Toss the wings until they are thoroughly coated in the sauce.

  7. 7

Serve immediately with your choice of dipping sauce and celery sticks.
