Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 lemon (zested and juiced)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F/200°C).

  2. 2

Brush both sides of the salmon fillets with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

  4. 4

While the salmon is grilling, prepare the lemon butter sauce. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

  5. 5

Add minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.

  6. 6

Stir in lemon juice and lemon zest into the garlic butter. Cook for an additional minute to allow the flavors to combine.

  7. 7

Once the salmon is done grilling, remove fillets from the grill and drizzle the lemon butter sauce over the top.

  8. 8

Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
