Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz linguine or spaghetti
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup white wine or chicken broth
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine or spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and olive oil together.

  3. 3

Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet, sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.

  4. 4

Pour in the white wine or chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Let the sauce reduce for about 3-5 minutes.

  5. 5

Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 3-5 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.

  6. 6

Stir in the lemon juice and cooked pasta, tossing everything together until well coated with the sauce.

  7. 7

Remove from heat, and sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving. Garnish with grated Parmesan if desired. Enjoy!
