Ingredients

  • 4 fish fillets (such as cod or tilapia)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 lemon (for juice and wedges)
  • Fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

In a small bowl, mix together the cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.

  3. 3

Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

  4. 4

Drizzle the olive oil over the fish fillets, then sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over the top of each fillet.

  5. 5

Squeeze half of the lemon juice over the fillets, reserving the other half for serving.

  6. 6

Bake the fish in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

  7. 7

Once cooked, remove from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes.

  8. 8

Serve the fish fillets with lemon wedges and garnish with fresh cilantro or parsley, if desired.
