Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 cup jasmine rice
  • 2 cups water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
  • Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

    Cook the jasmine rice according to package instructions: rinse the rice and combine it with 2 cups of water in a pot, bring to a boil, then cover and reduce heat to low for about 15 minutes until water is absorbed.

    In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, beef broth, and brown sugar to create the sauce.
