Ingredients

  • 200 grams tempeh, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon kecap manis (sweet soy sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. 1

In a bowl, mix soy sauce and kecap manis. Add sliced tempeh and marinate for 10 minutes.

  2. 2

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add marinated tempeh and cook until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 3

Remove tempeh from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add garlic and ginger, sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

  4. 4

Add bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot. Stir-fry for 5-6 minutes until vegetables are tender but crisp.

  5. 5

Return tempeh to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper, and stir to combine. Cook for another 2 minutes.

  6. 6

Sprinkle sesame seeds and green onions over the stir-fry, tossing gently to mix.

  7. 7

Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
