Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium carrot, julienned
  • 1 zucchini, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  1. 1

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

Add the minced garlic and sliced beef, stir-frying for about 2-3 minutes until the beef is browned.

  3. 3

Add the bell pepper, carrot, and zucchini to the skillet, and continue to stir-fry for an additional 3-4 minutes until the veggies are tender but still crisp.

  4. 4

In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, and sugar. Pour this sauce over the beef and vegetables.

  5. 5

Stir well to coat everything evenly and cook for another minute.

  6. 6

Remove from heat, and toss in the chopped green onions and fresh basil leaves just before serving.

  7. 7

Serve immediately with steamed rice or noodles.
