Ingredients

  • 1 cup carrots, julienned
  • 1 cup green beans, finely chopped
  • 1 cup cabbage, shredded
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup bean sprouts
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 pack (20-30 count) spring roll wrappers
  • 1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
  • Salt to taste
  • Sweet chili sauce (for serving)

Instructions

  1. 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the carrots, green beans, cabbage, bell pepper, and bean sprouts.

  2. 2

Add the minced garlic, chopped onion, soy sauce, ground black pepper, and salt. Mix well until all vegetables are coated with the seasonings.

  3. 3

Take a spring roll wrapper and place it on a clean surface with one corner pointing towards you. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the vegetable mixture near the corner closest to you.

  4. 4

Fold the corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly to form a spring roll. Seal the edge with a little water.

  5. 5

Repeat the process with remaining wrappers and filling until all are used.

  6. 6

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add a few rolls at a time, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.

  7. 7

Fry the lumpia for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  8. 8

Serve hot with sweet chili sauce on the side for dipping.
